The SABC2 soap opera "Muvhango" has not been canceled. Talks between the production team and the broadcaster are ongoing to keep the show running. Although production halted temporarily due to delays in securing a contract for the new season, the situation is evolving, and the show's future remains uncertain.

Entertainment commentator @PhilMphela confirmed that "Muvhango" is still in discussions with the broadcaster, indicating a high chance the show will continue. This is reassuring for fans worried about its potential cancellation.

Production paused on June 15 after finishing season 25 episodes, leaving the cast and crew anxious about their future as they have families to support. The SABC and "Muvhango" management have yet to finalize a new contract, with details of the delay known only to executives.

A crew member expressed concern over the uncertainty, noting that some have begun seeking other employment. However, the production manager encouraged the crew to stay focused as renewal talks progress.

Producer Duma Ndlovu confirmed ongoing discussions between SABC and "Muvhango" management, emphasizing that both parties understand the show's value. Despite the lack of a finalized agreement, the show's cast and crew remain anxious.

Ndlovu stated, "While the cast is on break, we continue to negotiate with SABC. We are not giving up. Both parties appreciate the value of 'Muvhango.'"
