Ramaphosa was re-elected as president of the Republic of South Africa.

Congratulations were in order Friday night as Ramaphosa was re-elected as president. His inauguration will be on 19 June 2024. Joe Biden the US President is looking forward to still working together with South Africa.

Moussa Faki the chairperson of The African Union (AU) said Biden looked "forward to continuing working with Ramaphosa because of their same Continental Agenda."

Ramaphosa received praise from Namibia's President Nangolo Mbumba after being re-elected. Namibia's president loved Ramaphosa's confidence to lead South Africa to greater heights. The 2024 elections marked the end of ANC's 30 years of dominance.

ANC commented that they are ready to set aside their political difference and work together with the opposition party to improve our Nation.

Two major parties involved in the formation of  The National Unity Government (GNU) are the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Inkatha Freedom Party.

The Parliament's first sitting was opened by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. South Africans are skeptical about the Union of DA and ANC. These two parties have been political foes for a long time. That is what caused a lot of unrest among South Africans.
